Hello and welcome to our website. Our site is new, so you will continue to see changes to the content in the coming months.
We are raising money to open an Animal-Therapy Farm in order to pair abused/assaulted children together with animals and letting them interact to heal each other in a farm-like environment through fostering.
Our hope is to have a farm-type situation where children can interract with animals during therapy sessions. The animals will act as catalysts for social and verbal interaction for children who:
-
Because of their environment and early histories are at-risk of becoming violent or abusive due to an inability of expressing feelings or thoughts of compassion, nurturing and/or emotional attachment or involvement with others.
-
Have exhibited violent and/or abusive behavior toward animals or others, or have themselves been victims of abuse or violence.
It is our belief that through early intervention many of these children will have the opportunity to experience a healthy and nurturing relationship as they learn how to relate emotionally to another living being.
We are hoping to aquire three-acres of farmland in Pennsylvania or New Jersey area where we can raise livestock and grow our own vegatables to help deter some of our expenses. The cost of such a project is thought to be between $300,000-$400,000.
We welcome you to continue to check our site for new updates about our organization and the cause we are supporting.
